Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania amidst the Sound of Philadelphia, Pam Knight is the daughter of famed Jazz trumpeter, Cullen Knight Jr and Dance Choreographer of the Sun Ra Band, Gloristeena Knight. The only girl of 6 children, Knight began singing at the age of 9 when her teacher called her up to sing lead for a service in church. She had already been entertaining her friends at home by singing the theme songs to popular TV shows for 25 cents a song and producing live performances in the basement for her neighborhood. Her first tour began with the Gospel Pioneers, Queen Yahna and Juliard fellow, Donna Brown where she received acclaim for a 30 minute standing ovation at the Berg Theater in Vienna ( the longest standing ovation in the history of the Berg Theater) Knight went on to sign with Universal: Polydor/Zeitgeist records releasing numerous hits in the duo Spike. Knight has performed the world over for royals, politicians, and music lovers in Europe, Asia, North America, and Africa. Her style is soulful, fun and engaging. Her soon to be released CD entitled. WHERE DID THE TIME GO, will be released on her birthday October 18, 2026. This Soulful sounding, get up and go groove is reminiscent of the golden era of soul, RnB and Blues music. The great storylines and melodies make the music worth learning to sing along. Pam Knight has journeyed her way through the world of music on her own terms and continues to do it her way.
